The interdisciplinary exhibition "Transitions" presents works by three artists: Isabella Trimmel, Nirto Karsten Fischer and Josefa T. Tscharmann. "Transitions" describes, in a snaphot ("Werkschau"), the artistic development of the participating artists, and the subjects of the works.
Presented, for the first time in large format and surround-sound, are video works by Isabella Trimmel in collaboration with Nirto Karsten Fischer, who composed the sound-scapes.
The mixed media artist Isabella Trimmel also worked with choreographer, dancer and performer Christina Ciupke for the video "Raum Zeit". Christina Ciupke, who also realised several works with Nirto Karsten Fischer, achieved an international reputation for her very specific research in the area of human movements as socio-cultural interactions.
Furthermore shown in the 1700 square meters venue are sculptures, photographs, paintings and objects. At the art-opening the concert- and opera-soprano singer Anna Herbst will sing in a short performance which outlines a "transition" between different eras of music.
